A very smart 1960s armchair manufactured by highly esteemed British maker ‘Cintique’, constructed using solid Afrormosia which has a lovely rich colour and some very attractive graining.
Obviously highly influenced by Danish design, its tapered armrests curve up gently at the tip to make a stunning feature really giving this chair its desirable shape and appearance.
High laddered back with additional head rest cushion, and fully sprung seat base with the revered Cintique spring system makes this a VERY comfortable chair to sit on! You could easily fall asleep on this one, read a book for hours or just watch TV. So alongside its good looks, it is also an incredibly supportive sit.
To re-upholster we have used a charcoal grey 100% wool felt. A beautiful hardwearing wool textile with a soft and comfortable feel which makes the perfect contrast to Afrormosia frame.
The condition of this chair is excellent, the upholstery is brand new and flawless - the frame has a few minor marks, ie a couple of very small aged scratches to the arms (please see images) and some light scuffing to the bottom of the legs - nothing at all that draws your eye; it displays beautifully as a very well looked after piece of vintage furniture.
