Charming little cabinet manufactured by high end furniture maker Herbert E Gibbs Ltd London.
This is such a lovely piece of furniture, everything about is just oozes good quality ‘vintage’. Very well made as you would expect, using a combination of solid timber and stunning Walnut veneers.
Very of is time being a late 50s early 60s piece, excellent form, very cute and petite with subtly angled out legs and very attractive cupped over handles. Lots of storage for its size - four generously sized drawers and a shelved cupboard, all clean and tidy to the insides and the drawers run smoothly.
This piece would make an excellent media unit or could be perfect for that alcove you are trying to fill! A very handy size if your space is at a premium. Condition wise its lovely, its does show lots of small signs of age and use to the exterior but I must say that overall, the few aged scratches, small marks and the odd tiny chip accumulate to nothing - its a very smart looking piece of furniture which has a lovely tone and some beautiful graining.
